A New Strategy for Remaking Supply Chain Networks

Founder & CEO of LineHaul Station

So, the other day I registered to attend Council of Supply Chain EDGE conference, and with my membership, they provided me a free Executive Summary of the 2024 State of Logistics Report that was presented by Penske Logistics, and prepared by Kearney - who is arguably one of the world’s most respected consultants with a prominent global transportation practice.  In the report, they talk about all-modes of transportation which also includes a specific section on “Network Trends”.  Naturally, it captured my undivided attention because we are actively working a plan to build a new, shared-use, freight relay NETWORK to significantly improve how truckload freight can move across the country – Faster, Better & Cheaper.

In the Kearney report, they mention how shippers continue to rewire their distribution networks and supply chains, in the interest of redesigning them to unlock powerful new sources of savings and strategic advantage.   They also reference Amazon and Wayfair as prime examples of how network overhauls can reduce expenses and create massive efficiency.  The summary closes with this important quote….

“Executives are remaking these networks not only to squeeze out costs, but also to catalyze growth through greater capacity, agility, and flexibility.”

For me, these comments were right down the center of the fairway!!  I COULDN’T AGREE MORE as transportation has a lot of opportunity to quash cost-sucking problems and streamline productivity.  If you’re willing to spend a few minutes to watch our video – you will learn how LineHaul Station is on point to deliver the network efficiency the industry is seeking.  Please click here to watch the very short video that illustrates how transportation can be far more effective with the right mix of resources.
